St. John’s Softball Head Coach Bob Guerriero Announces Back to School Clinic

St. John’s softball Head Coach Bob Guerriero announced Thursday morning that the Red Storm will host a Back to School Softball Clinic on Saturday Sept. 11 for participants grades nine through 12. The camp will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and cover all aspects of the game from offense and defense to pitching and catching.

Guerriero’s current staff and players will instruct all participants on the skills necessary to play softball at the highest Division I level.

While having the opportunity to enhance their defensive skills, participants will go through a hitting circuit and have the opportunity to face live pitching from other campers alongside several St. John’s current athletes.

Additionally, aspiring collegiate pitchers will have the opportunity to spend time improving their fundamentals and further their growth with instruction from softball staff and current players.

Registration on Sept. 11 begins at 8:30 a.m. and the cost for the defensive and hitting sessions is $175. To enter hitting, defensive and pitching sessions of the clinic, the cost will be $250 per participant. All of those attending the clinic are asked to bring all necessary equipment and ensure they arrive 45 minutes prior to the 9:00 a.m. start time.

All campers who are unvaccinated will be required to wear a mask throughout the duration of the camp. Please refer to the Johnnies Care Commitment for all of St. John’s University’s information on Covid-19 protocols which are subject to change due to ongoing public health conditions.
