The game, held on August 25th in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, kept fans on the edge of their seats as it extended into extra innings.
Chinese Taipei controlled most of the game with dominant pitching, shutting out Florida for nearly six full innings. However, with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning, Florida managed to tie the game 1-1, forcing extra innings. In the bottom of the seventh, Florida delivered the decisive blow with a walk-off hit to clinch the championship.
This victory marked Florida’s resilience throughout the tournament, culminating in a win that showcased both solid pitching and clutch hitting in high-pressure moments. Florida’s journey to the title also included overcoming tough competition, notably defeating Texas in the U.S. Championship game with a 10-7 comeback victory just a day before.
