The Southwest Minnesota State University baseball program will be hosting a Prospect Camp at Alumni Field on Tuesday, Aug. 1, for players in grades 9-12.
The camp, which will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., is conducted like a pro-style showcase. Each player will go through skills testing (60-yard dash, infield throwing, outfield throwing) and hit batting practice in front of the coaches/scouts on hand. Each player will showcase their ability defensively and offensively in front of the SMSU coaching staff and representatives from select schools.
Campers will participate in live games for the remainder of the camp, allowing them to showcase their ability in a live game setting. The price of the camp is $60 with an additional $10 fee for walk-ups.
