Intermediate World Series Dates Announced

The official dates for the 2018 Little League® World Series Tournaments were approved on Friday, Nov. 10, at the annual fall meeting of the Little League International Board of Directors.

For the 6th year, Livermore will host the Little League® Intermediate (50/70) Baseball World Series. Dates are July 29 to August 5. The tournament is open to players ages 11 to 13 year. Both national and international teams compete.

Dave Wetmore, Director of Little League Baseball Intermediate World Series, stated, “We are very excited to be hosting for the 6th year the Intermediate World Series in Livermore at Max Baer Park. Now to secure sponsors and start preparations for our visitors.”

Stephen D. Keener, Little League President and CEO, said, “We look forward to another exciting season of Little League Baseball and Softball around the world with the culmination of the year celebrated at the International Tournament in July and August. These tournaments spotlight the hard work and dedication of our players, parents, and volunteers that can be found in thousands of communities throughout the year.”

Over the course of 30 days, approximately 935 Little Leaguers® ages 10 to 16 from 78 different baseball and softball teams around the world will compete to determine the seven World Series champions for 2018.
